Kent Adams, President
Kent M. Adams is President and Chief Executive Officer of Caterpillar Financial Services Corporation and a Vice President of Caterpillar Inc. He has administrative responsibility for the Financial Products Division, which is comprised of Caterpillar Financial Services Corporation and Caterpillar Financial Insurance Services.

Since joining Caterpillar in 1979, he has held various positions including Assistant Treasurer for Caterpillar Americas Co., region finance manager for North American Commercial Division (NACD), treasurer for Caterpillar Asia Pte. Ltd., and treasurer-controller for Caterpillar Brasil Ltda. In 1998, Kent was appointed Vice President at Caterpillar Financial Services Corporation with responsibilities for operations in Europe and Marine divisions, and later Corporate Support Services which included accounting, business excellence, human resources, information technology, risk management and corporate marketing, CRSI and remarketing, and treasury.
Kent most recently served as Executive Vice President with responsibility for North America operations, including the U.S. Regions, Canada, FCC Equipment Financing Inc. and the Customer Business Center. On February 1, 2005, the Caterpillar Board of Directors named Adams a Vice President, and on March 1, 2005, he was named President and Chief Executive Officer of Caterpillar Financial Services Corporation.
Kent serves on the Board of Directors of the Financial Services Roundtable and the Executive Committee of the Financial Services Roundtable. He is a Director of the Nashville Branch of the Federal Reserve Board of Atlanta. Kent is the Chair of the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Nashville Agenda.
Kent previously served as a Trustee on the Board of the United Way of the Middle Tennessee, the Board of Directors of the Adventure Science Center and the Board of the Equipment Leasing and Finance Association.
Kent holds a bachelor's degree and master's degree in finance from the University of Illinois and completed the Pennsylvania State University Executive Management Program.

Jim Duensing, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Jim Duensing was appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Caterpillar Financial Services Corporation on April 1, 2007. He has global finance administrative responsibility for the Financial Products Division, including Caterpillar Financial Services Corporation and Caterpillar Insurance Services Corporation. Primary functional areas of responsibility include Accounting, Treasury, Tax, Risk Management, Capital Markets/Syndications, and Business Excellence (Strategic Planning and Process Improvement/6 Sigma). Jim also heads the Superior Results Council, whose objective is to create and implement strategies to deliver profit, ROE and Managed Asset targets.

Jim most recently served as Treasurer of Caterpillar Financial Services Corporation with responsibility for global funding, FX and interest rate risk management and cash management activities for the company. Since joining Caterpillar Inc. in 1981, he has held a variety of positions including Corporate Funding Manager at Caterpillar Inc. in Peoria, Illinois, Caterpillar Financial Northern Europe Region Managing Director in London, Caterpillar Financial Marketing Manager in Nashville, and Western Region Sales Manager in Phoenix.

Jim graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration/Finance. He also holds a Master of Business Administration degree   from Bradley University. Jim serves as the Board Chair for The Tennessee Center for Performance Excellence, Board and Executive Committee of Junior Achievement of Middle Tennessee, Treasurer and Finance Chair of the United Way of Metropolitan Nashville, and also serves on The Board of Trustees of the Martha O’Bryan Foundation and the Finance Department Advisory Council of the University of Tennessee.

Gerry Gorman, Chief Information Officer
Gerry joined Caterpillar in 1981 as a management accountant and has had a variety of assignments in Accounting, Information Services, and Manufacturing Operations during his career. During the 1980s and early 1990s, Gerry was a Senior I/T systems developer for Caterpillar's materials scheduling systems and for Caterpillar’s factory floor automation initiatives which were both piloted for the enterprise in Aurora, Illinois. He later served in an I/T Manager capacity in various business units including Aurora, Joliet IL, Monterrey Mexico, and multiple business units in the Peoria IL area including Corporate Information Services. Gerry has held leadership positions serving as a Lean Manufacturing / Class A Champion in Joliet and also as a 6 Sigma Division Champion. Prior to joining Caterpillar Financial, Gerry served three years in Singapore as Global Information Services' Senior I/T Leader in Asia Pacific responsible for I/T services in that rapidly growing region.

Gerry graduated from the University of Iowa with a Bachelor of Business Administration Majoring in Accounting. He also holds a Master of Management Degree from Northwestern’ s Kellogg Graduate School of Management with majors in Strategy and Organization, Information Management, and Operations Management. Gerry is a Certified Public Accountant and is a member of the Iowa Society of CPAs. He also serves on the Tennessee Adventure Science Center’s Board of Trustees and the YWCA of Nashville & Middle Tennessee’s Board of Directors.

Mark Bainbridge, Vice President
Mark Bainbridge is Vice President of Cat Financial with administrative responsibility for operations in Europe, Africa, and Middle East (EAME) and Cat Power Finance.

Mark began his career with FPD in the legal department in 1998 where he joined as a lawyer providing global and domestic litigation support to CFSC. In 2001, Mark moved to the business side and has held several management positions within Cat Financial, initially serving as Managing Director of the European Support Group and Marine Region Manager of EAME Region based in Hockley Heath, United Kingdom. In 2004, Mark moved to Nashville to serve as US Southern Region Manager with responsibility for field operations in the Jacksonville, Nashville, and Dallas Districts. In 2008, Mark served as the project manager for the US Field Alignment Project, which combined the FCC and CFSC field forces. Later in 2008, Mark moved to Beijing and has served as Managing Director of Caterpillar (China) Financial Leasing Co., Ltd with responsibility for CFSC’s operations in China until accepting his current position.

Mark holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and a Juris Doctorate, both from Indiana University. Prior to joining Caterpillar, Mark was a lawyer in private practice in Indianapolis, Indiana. 

Ed Goodrich, Vice President
Ed Goodrich is Vice President of Cat Financial with administrative responsibility for North America Operations, Cat Financial Commercial Account and Latin America. Ed began his career with Caterpillar Inc. in 1977, and then worked as Finance Manager for Caterpillar dealer Mustang Tractor in Houston, Texas before rejoining the company with Cat Financial in 1986.

Ed has held several management positions within Cat Financial, serving as Territory Manager in Texas, Sales Manager of Cat Financial Australia, and Deputy Managing Director of Caterpillar Finance France at its inception. He was Northeastern Region Manager in Baltimore from 1996 until 2000 at which time he accepted the responsibility of managing the consolidation of U.S. customer and dealer finance, portfolio management, and customer service activity into the Customer Business Center where he served as Manager until 2003. From 2004 until 2010, Ed served as Vice President with administrative responsibility for Latin America and Global Power Finance.

Ed received his bachelor's degree in Finance from the University of Illinois and has completed the Stanford University Executive Program. He serves on the Boards of Directors of The Boys & Girls Clubs of Middle Tennessee and The Nashville Symphony Association. 

Mark Manning, Vice President
Mark Manning is Vice President of Caterpillar Financial, with administrative responsibility for operations in Asia-Pacific. He is based in Singapore.

Mark joined Caterpillar in 1981. He served in a variety of staff support and field jobs in machine financing throughout North America for 12 years. He moved to Madrid, Spain in 1993 as an Assistant Managing Director with responsibility for Spain, Portugal and Italy. In 1997, he moved to Melbourne, Australia, as the Managing Director for Caterpillar Financial Australia Limited. Mark returned to the United States in 2000 and was named the Eastern Region Manager, located in Columbia, Maryland. Mark assumed responsibilities as CBC Manager located in Nashville, Tenn. in February 2004. In that role, he exercised leadership responsibilities for the centralized U.S. Operations Center, supporting origination and portfolio management activities for the Caterpillar machine financing market.

Mark earned a Bachelor of Science, Finance degree from Illinois State University, Normal, Illinois in 1981, and completed a Master of Business Administration program at Georgetown University, Washington, D.C. in 2003. 

Kim Neible, Vice President
Kim is a Caterpillar Financial Vice President, has responsibility for Caterpillar Financial global marketing operations, global remarketing operations, Financial Products Division human resources and Financial Products Division’s global leadership team.

Throughout her 25+ years at Caterpillar, Kim has been held various finance and marketing positions in areas including Cat Financial, Product Support, Power Systems, Marketing Support and Sales Operations for North American and Latin American Commercial Divisions.

Kim received her B.A. in Business Management & Administration in 1982 and a MBA from Bradley University in 1989. She attended Duke Fuqua School of Business Advanced Management Program in 2000. She has served on the Board of Directors of the Bradley Braves Club as well as the YMCA. 
Clay Thompson, President of Cat Financial Insurance Services
Clay Thompson was named President of Cat Financial Insurance Services in 2013. The company provides insurance
and risk management products and services that help Caterpillar, its dealers, their customers and original equipment manufacturers manage their business risk.

Clay joined Caterpillar in 1997, after practicing law in Davenport, Iowa. He has held several positions in Caterpillar’s Legal Department, including General Counsel to the Asia Pacific Division (Singapore) and to the Financial Products Division (Nashville). He also has cross-functional experience outside Legal, having worked in Beijing, China, where he managed Emerging Markets Strategy Integration; Tokyo, where he led the Cat Japan’s Product Management function; and Washington DC where he managed Caterpillar’s Corporate Government Affairs Department.

Clay graduated from Central College in Pella, Iowa, with a bachelor’s degree in English. He holds a JD from the University of Iowa and an MBA with concentrations in International Business and Economics from the University of Chicago.

Clay is Chairman of the Board of the Tennessee Chamber of Commerce. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of Junior Achievement of Middle Tennessee and a Trustee of Central College.

Leslie Zmugg, General Counsel

Leslie Zmugg serves as General Counsel and Secretary of Caterpillar Financial Services Corporation and has responsibility for managing the legal affairs of all entities within Caterpillar Financial Products Division, including Caterpillar Financial Services Corporation, Caterpillar Insurance Services Corporation, and their affiliates. Leslie was appointed to her current position in 2014.


Leslie began her Caterpillar career in 1999 with Caterpillar Financial in Nashville, Tennessee.  During her career, she has held numerous positions in the Caterpillar Law and Public Policy Division (LPP), including lead counsel for Caterpillar Power’s Marine Finance group in Hockley Heath, England covering Europe, Africa and the Middle East; in Peoria, Illinois as lead counsel for Caterpillar’s Remanufacturing Division; lead counsel for Caterpillar’s Global Mining Division in Milwaukee, Wisconsin; and managing attorney for Caterpillar Financial in Nashville overseeing legal operations for the Latin American businesses, along with Caterpillar’s Power Finance, Mining Finance and Capital Markets business units.  Leslie is currently Deputy General Counsel of Caterpillar Inc. and serves on the Management Committee of LPP.  She is an enthusiastic mentor in the LPP Attorney Mentoring Program and the Caterpillar Financial Mentoring Programs, and is a member of the LPP Pro Bono Steering Committee.


Leslie received her law degree from Fordham University School of Law, and her Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from the State University of New York at Binghamton. 


Leslie also serves as Chair of the Board of Directors of the Sexual Assault Center, and as a member of the Board of Directors of the Martha O’Bryan Center in Nashville.
